Clean, protect and preserve your networks
Chemical cleaning
This phase involves pickling the pipes with an organic acid that dissolves the metal oxides on the steel (mainly rust).
The acid is enriched with a passivating agent to start protecting the surface.
Passivation
Once pickled, the steel surface is vulnerable to oxidation.
Passivation involves applying a chemical treatment that forms a stable, non-conductive iron oxide film.
Conditioning
Two scenarios:
1. If the network is connected immediately: it is filled in a controlled manner with softened water.
2. Otherwise, conditioning is carried out to keep the protective layer stable.
